The MLB action will be back this March 31st when
the Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros meet in a special Sunday night game. With
the matchup against the Rangers, the Astros will officially enter the American
League. The game also marks the first time Astros and Rangers face each other in
the MLB opening game.
Only a day after the opening game, the MLB will resume
with twelve exciting games, including four matches featuring the winners of the
last seven World Series (Red Sox vs. Yankees, Giants vs. Dodgers, Phillies vs.
Braves and Cardinals vs. Diamondbacks), as well as a game presenting Major
League foes, the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.
Over the past two seasons, the Astros set franchise
records for the total amount losses, dropping 106 games in 2011 and ending the past
season with a 55 - 107 record, the worst record in all of Major League
Baseball, and the worst record in franchise history.
Yes, we know, the Astros have a complicated panorama
entering this season, but despite the negative numbers, Houston recently embarked
on a major team and management rebuild, and now will try to improve the their
losing record achieved last season and reach the playoffs for the first time in
eight years. But what are Houston’s odds? While oddsmakers are expecting to see
many surprises this season, The Astros are not one of them. In fact, Houston is listed

Currently, the L.A Dodgers, Washington Nationals, and Los
